Mother Lode Holding Company was established in 1987 by Leo French as the parent company of Placer Title Company. It has grown to include separate title companies in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Texas, Arizona, Washington, and New Mexico.
Companies under the MLHC umbrella also include two operations offering services nationwide: National Closing Solutions and Premier Reverse Closings. Each company in the Mother Lode family strives to uphold French’s vision as a place that takes care of its customers and employees.

Placer Title Company (PTC) has the distinction of being one of the only independent title insurance and escrow agencies licensed in all 58 California counties. In addition, Placer Title and its affiliates constitute the largest independent title insurance and escrow agencies on the West Coast. Mother Lode Holding Company is proud to have Premier Title Agency (PTA) as their retail operations in Arizona, headquartered in Phoenix.
Premier Title Agency is led by title industry veterans, Jerry Calley and Tanner Herrick.
Jerry serves as President/CEO, with Tanner as Executive Vice President of the Arizona operation. Both men came to Mother Lode Holding Company with a wealth of experience in the local Arizona market.
